The latest bankruptcy statistics for November, 2006 were released on the internet by Industry Canada on January 9, 2007.
Consumer bankruptcies fell 8.4% (6,946/7,580);
Business bankruptcies fell 6.4% (544/581);
Proposals rose 4.5% (1,870/1,789);
Overall, Insolvencies fell 5.9% (9,360/9,950).
Year to date:
Consumer bankruptcies were down 6.2%
Business bankruptcy were down 10.2%
Proposals were up 5.2%
Total insolvencies were down 4.5%.
