Bankruptcies Drop in July, 2006.
The latest bankruptcy statistics for July, 2006 were released on the internet by Industry Canada on September 7, 2006.
Consumer bankruptcies fell 8.2% (5,711/6,219);
Business bankruptcies fell 14.1% (445/518;
Proposals rose 15.5 % (1,560/1,351);
Overall, Insolvencies fell 4.6% (7,716/8,088).
Year to date:
Consumer bankruptcies were down 6.5%
Business bankruptcy were down 11.2%
Proposals were up 2.6%
Total insolvencies were down 5.2%
