Bankruptcies Drop in June, 2006.
The latest bankruptcy statistics for June, 2006 were released on the internet by Industry Canada on August 10, 2006.
Consumer bankruptcies fell 8.2% (6,799/7,403);
Business bankruptcies fell 2.2% (611/625);
Proposals fell 2.5 % (1,713/1,757);
Overall, Insolvencies fell 6.8% (9,123/9,785).
Year to date:
Consumer bankruptcies were down 6.2%
Business bankruptcy were down 10.8%
Proposals were up 0.9%
Total insolvencies were down 5.3%
