NEWS FLASH! July 4, 2008:

Insolvencies increase slightly in May, 2008 compared with the Same Month in 2007.

Consumer Bankruptcies were down 1.5% compared with the same month the previous year.

Business Bankruptcies were up by 4.1% compared with the same month the previous year.

Proposals were up by 10.3% compared with the same month the previous year.

For the 12 months ending May 31, 2008 Insolvencies are up by 3.6 % compared with the previous year; (2008:111,409 – 2007:107,490)
