Credit repair companies say they can get the credit bureau to change a bad credit rating into a good one.  Do not be fooled!  The credit bureau's job is to report to its clients on a person's credit record.  They are not going to jeopardize their reputation by reporting incorrectly.

If the credit bureau has made a mistake  in reporting your credit they will correct the error.  You also have the right to put a 100 word explanation on your credit bureau report.  That explanation will go out on all future reports.
